Public Speaking, Training and Sharing your knowledge

In the past year 2013, I set up 5 call centers around Metro Manila and Batangas, Trained about 100 agents. Underwent the certifications program with TESDA for the FCCCA ( Finishing Course for Call Center Agents), had to talks, one in Quezon City and one in SM MOA – SMX on how to start working at home. Besides the fact that I was training my own staff in the office and my work at home reps for our foreign accounts and Radio Guesting for about 5 times.

Since I began my career in sales last 2000, I have been slowly speaking in front of more and more people about various things. Before it used to be all about training for sales and the pharmaceutical segment, then call center stuff, now about how to work at home and social media.

A couple of things I noticed about me and talking in front was this:

1. People respond to the speaker – how? it depends on ow the speakers carries the topic or the seminar.

2. Its better to be a jack of all trades – sometimes people ask off kilter questions, and its good that you know a lot about different things.

3. It still scares me everytime I stand in front of a crowd.

4. I like sharing what I know to others and help them grow.

Things to remember before you start your presentation:

1. Be prepared – I mean prepare your slide, prepare for contingencies and most of all prepare yourself

2. Customize your approach based on the crowd. Stop talking in english and speak in taglish as needed. If people are sleepy, find a way to wake them up.

3. master your presentation – make sure you know which slides come next and which topics.

Here are some links of past talks and guestings.
